Cost

The cost for round trip airfair on the Piper T1040 from Oshkosh is $3,600.00 + tax paid directly to Max Air. The plane seats up to nine fishermen so fill it up and divide the cost between your group. At nine people, the cost per person is $400.00 per person for the flight and $75 per person paid to ELIL for ground transportation to and from International Falls and for your fishing gear.  Most other lodges charge extra for early arrival, not at Eagle Lake Island Lodge where, the earlier you get here the better, no upcharges / surcharges / hidden charges of any kind.

Routes

Maxair is headquartered in Oshkosh Wisconsin, and therefore all planes depart from there. Stops can be made along the way to pick up your group. For example, if some board in Oshkosh and you make a stop in Eau Claire, WI to pick up the rest of your group, the cost would be $3,900.00 for the round trip. The route can go through Milwaukee or Minneapolis as well.

Gear

With the limited weight of flying Eagle Lake Island Lodge will provide all your fishing gear.  We're here to help with the details so you don't have to worry.  Pack your clothes, show up at the airport, fishing Eagle Lake four hours later.  What else can you ask for!!

For over 40 years, Maxair Inc. has provided a complete range of superior, customer-preferred aviation services to the Fox Cities and surrounding areas.

Maxair Inc. has been in existence in varying forms since 1947. The company was founded by a local pilot by the name of Max Sagunsky. Originally known as Max’s Air Service, the original company offered a variety of services including flight instruction, maintenance, fuel sales and aircraft charter at the Appleton airport’s initial Ballard Road location.

In 1963 the airport moved to its current location and the name was changed to the Outagamie County Airport. Max’s Air Service made the move to the new airport and continued operation. In 1967 the company was incorporated and the name was officially changed to Maxair Inc.

In 1972 the business was sold to new ownership. The new ownership operated the company with little change until 1986 when it was sold to Valley Holdings, Inc. Valley Holdings owned and operated Maxair until 2010.

During 2010 Maxair went through its biggest change in history. It ceased doing business as an FBO and instead the company chose to focus its attention strictly on aircraft charter. Currently Maxair Inc. is operating as an aircraft charter and management company. Though the size and scope of the company has changed since our days as Appleton’s principal FBO, our commitment to our customers has remained unchanged. That commitment is to provide the safest, most affordable and efficient service available.
